Precision machined from a 7075-T6 aluminum forging, the M4 upper receiver is built to hold up under demanding use. The inside diameter of the threaded bore is slightly undersized compared to typical mil-spec tolerances, creating a tighter fit with the barrel extension that can improve accuracy once assembled. Because of this tighter fit, a heat gun or hair dryer may be needed to gently warm the bore if the barrel extension feels tight during installation.
The receiver ships without a BCM logo etched on the rear of the rail, keeping the profile clean for builders who prefer a subtler look, while the laser engraved T-marks and BCM4 gas tube marking keep it easy to identify once assembled.
