The Faxon Firearms Duty Series Barreled AR-15 Upper Receiver in 11.5" pairs a Gunner-profile barrel with mid-length gas and an adjustable gas block, built specifically to make a dedicated suppressed 11.5" build controllable instead of fighting excess back pressure.

Most 11.5" 5.56 builds run carbine-length gas, which produces an abrupt bolt carrier velocity that gets harder to manage as suppressor back pressure stacks on top of it. Running mid-length gas on this 11.5" barrel spreads dwell time over a longer port-to-muzzle distance for a slower, more gradual bolt carrier velocity, giving back pressure room to dissipate. The adjustable gas block lets you fine-tune ejection and recoil impulse around your specific suppressor, ammunition, and buffer combination, and the Plan B-compatible MuzzLok flash hider gives you a direct mount path for Plan B and Atlas cans without an adapter.

Faxon Firearms manufactures and assembles every barrel in-house at its Cincinnati, Ohio facility, keeping quality control in-house from rifling through final inspection.
