The Forward Controls Design RHF-C Handguard is a free float M-LOK rail built on the C4 M-LOK architecture, clamping to a standard AR-15, M4, or M16 barrel nut so it installs and removes without pulling muzzle devices or a fixed front sight post.

The barrel nut clamp system is what sets the RHF-C apart from handguards that require a proprietary barrel nut: clamping directly to a standard barrel nut means the handguard installs and comes off without removing muzzle devices, a suppressor mount, or a fixed front sight post. Free floating the handguard eliminates the accuracy-degrading contact between handguard and barrel that a carbine-length drop-in produces under sling tension or grip pressure, and barrel cooling vents cut through the body at intervals that allow airflow over the barrel to reduce heat buildup during rapid fire.
Forward Controls Design believes in the elegance of simplicity, putting function before form to build parts that actually improve the handling and reliability of your firearm.
